Ink runs through our veins

Streetfiles sellout soon

posted by Esher, on Oct 14th, 2008

We never worked a day in our lives.

Streetfiles makes a lot of fun to us but also costs a whole lot of time. Beside surfin Streetfiles each day we also discuss problems and features, fix bugs, write blog entries and develop the system.

Well and you know money does not grow on trees. Either we have to go back to our clients and build websites for others and neglect Streetfiles or we get some money back from this. (Our secret plan is to get millonaire from graffiti). At least it would be really cool if we could pay the growing server costs and the rent for our office.

So here are the bad news for you:

You have noticed the ad banner on the right side. They are still in the beta testing phase. None of them is paid now. We need to change this. We also might add a banner here or there but not on your personal member pages.

In the near future you will find a 'shop' button in the main navigation in the right top corner and also some 'features' in lists

On the product pages (mostly books) you will find affiliate links to amazon (and hopfully some other partners soon). If you buy something on a partner website we will get a little commission. There are no additional costs for you.

We will also have a list of street stores where you will able to find a graffiti supply store in your area or the spot you are planing to visit. Graff store owners have the opportunity to have there stores displayed here in very cool style if the pay a little extra.

Thats's the deal. We really hope you understand theses moves. We are curious what you think. Drop us a comment.

Fürn fünfer kann man dann zb nicht freigeschaltete Bilder sehen und sein Profil stärker verändern.
Und für nochn fünfer mehr kriegt man monatlich zwei nette PMs von den Admins die dem User sagen wie toll er ist ;)

life aint for free neither... so dont worry about the need to get paid too...... i have wondered many times how people make a living without working....paying their paint and stuff.....going places....so i really dont have a single little problem if you guys tell me you need to find sponsors and ways to make money via this site.....and as i really love streetfiles, i feel like screamin out loud: GO GO GO......................and get the sponsor money as soon as you can. i would do too...YOURS SINCERLY.....SNAPone

@funcrusher: do you really think one of our members would pay? we don't think so.

yes... i think so too.....
its just that the way of the payment should / would have to be anonymous....i figure that would be the prob....

hausburger says on Oct 16th, 2008:

@snaponer
Exactly, thats the point!
Payment is never anonymous - so it doesn't fit. We think it's better to charge to people who make money with graffiti (graff stores & book dealers) and not the guys who go out on the streets and publish the stuff here.

smuggle people or sell human organs!

as long as i don´t have to click popups away all the time and big banners on top hide the content i´m here for... do what has to be done. by any means necessary

for supporting you and your work i haven't to advertise, yeah or buy something via your partnership links. maybe it's easier.

at least, it seems so, cause you're an incorporated association. i am thinking of becoming a member of your organisation and support you with my annual membership fees. i may be also able to support your work through bounties and lower down my taxes, too!?

Where can i get more informations about the graffitinet e.v. and it's internal form of organisation? Can you send me some info's to the provided mail?
