Hello my name is Jonny and i really love this Project. I think it is the best website that is containing Arts. The huge vartiety of Photos has never been there before. The Possibility to write Comments and to connect with other People makes this site much more better.

Obviously, Streetfiles is: sharing photos and showing the past to younger people, weather it is Graffiti or Streetart or Fotography. I´m here every day an spend some hours watching new flicks.

After all streetfiles is the best site ever, I seriously hope that somebody will invest in this project, beacause i think there are a lot of opportunities to create an ongoing Network.

 - As a artist freelancer I have to spend some money for materials to work. Computer programs, digital equipment or cans wich I buy regular, beacause these are my tools of work.
 - I'm from eastern-north side of Poland. I do works connected with culuture mixture which we have here in our region. As a freelancer I do walls, murals, canvans and graphic desing and these are only sources of money for me. I'm connected with cultural instytutions, art collectives in my region and country.
 - From my perspective advertising on Streetfiles may give unique opportunity to get attention specyfic group of people. People doing graffiti are quite hermetic group strongly connected, but still with big differences among it between people. A lot of them are professional artists, doing canvas or graphic design, but from the other hand there is big part of it doing it just for fun (many years). From one hand there are young peopole teenagers (just strating writing) and adult experienced people. Big variaty of different useres strongly connected with graffiti culture (on the most proffesional international site for graffiti) is the best descryption of Streetfiles for me.

Every day i visit Streetfiles some times. It's for me a mix of relaxation and some kind of education. Streetfiles doesn't limit not only to "normal" graffiti, it shows a complete own world. You have here some professional photographers and also a lot of very talented amateur photographers, because something is ja nice picture more than a nice bombing.
The most of the members are very active- it's a community with different kinds of people.
I'm (terrier) from Berlin, Germany and this is the most active city on streetfiles.org- so many writers use streetfiles to communicate with each other. I buy a lot of cans, molotov and montana, but also the typical sportswear brands for the community- mazine, carhartt, and so on. But it gives also enough member with wear brands like Picaldi and so on. The international website is manifoldly. So i spend a lot of my money (30-50 euro every month, and i'm pupil) to things with have to do with graffiti and so with streetfiles.
So it's definitely a gut investment, because streetfiles isn't the whole mainstream shit- but also, the streetfiles user are an very big underground subculture.

Hello my name is: Phil and I am writing/taking photos for almost 7 years. I´m living in the so called european graffiti mekka: Berlin.

First of all I have to say that streetfiles is an incredible platform! It´s not only about graffiti or street art, it´s also about taking photos (alot of photos posted on streetfiles can be easily go with the works of professional photographers).  It has a huge range of different aspects of writing (bombing, tags, trains, burners etc.) So it is very easy to dive into the world of writing and everything that belongs to it!

So here is the chance for all the spraycan manufactors to get known over european borders, to reach thousands of potentially new customers. Don´t miss it! This chance is real and will not be offered twice!

Most of the people (including myself) visiting streetfiles paying a lot of money through a year for spraycans to do the shit they like. In my opinion it would only be fair to support a great idea and a great team behind streetfiles, to make sure,  that this project will be on the internet for many many years to come. That´s the point where you, as a spraycan manufactor, can give something back to the community. I mean we are the people who support you (because we like and love your stuff and BUY it!)!

So in a way you can support us (streetfiles). It has become an international platform where people from all over the world are discussing, arranging meetings and doing pieces together, WITH YOUR SPRAY PAINT!

It would be a shame closing streetfiles only because no company cares about sponsoring this project. Keep in mind that you will reach at least about 1000 people a day! But I bet that it will be a lot more, don´t know the numbers of daily visitors correctly.

I have been surching the internet since than to find another website like this since than and I just couldn:t find anything like this, becaus this site is dedicated to graffiti writers only and not anyone who uses the internet, anyone who uses the internet can find graffiti on almoust any website (MYSPACE ,HI5 , FLIKR, Facebook , FOTOLOG and so on) but this site is yust for us I mean I know that almoust all the peaple who wiew my photoz are yust like me(writers) and they look at my work and they see it whit other eyes than the usual man from the streets (not as somthing cool in front of which to show off or just take photos of them selfes or whatever) but they see it as art and ift they comment on my photos theye say what they really think about it eather good or bad things and from which I can take some adwice or not.
Before i started to use streetfiles I just did graff because of I thought it was cool, but when I made my streetfile account I strated to look at graff differently I felt that I didn't just make graff for myself but I felt that I mede Graff for this community, and to show peaple that what is it like in this country.
When I paint I mostly use Montana Black cans and Sabotaz cans because these are the easyest toget your hands on in my city and I am werry plased with them Montana is a much better quality paint than Sabotaz but sabotaz is cheaper to buy, but I think that if you think about what quality you get for your money they-re werry good products.So if I were the owner of Montana Cans I have to say that I wold be werry onored to suppot Streetfiles.org ,because I would know that I am makig publicity for the peaple I know that are the main "consumers" of my products,who when are buying don't yust buy 1 or 2 cans but at least a dousen of cans to make art or "vandalism" as most of the public sees it.

Außerdem enthalten waren diverse Werbebroschüren, Flyer und ein Heft, das mir erklärt, wie ich diese neuen Marker zu benutzen habe (gehts noch?), hätte ich über 150€ bestellt, wären noch ein Schlüsselhalter, Sticker und eine Mütze enthalten gewesen (ich arbeite mit den Dosen, weil sie gut sind, aber euer Name auf meiner Stirn, gehts noch?).

Den Websites der großen Dosenhersteller entnehme ich, dass sie verschiedene Veranstaltungen und Maler unterstützen, dies ist meiner Meinung nach positiv zu bewerten (solange nicht einige wenige mittels Werbung und Graffitimedien zu Idolen stilisiert werden).
Warum gehen diese Firmen, die sich gern und womöglich zurecht als sehr szenenah sehen, nicht einen Schritt weiter und unterstützen ein Projekt wie Streetfiles, das, im Gegensatz zu einigen Magazinen, in denen ihre Werbung geschaltet ist, sehr progressiv und, so denke ich, zukunftsfähig ist.

Was ich mit diesen vielen und zulangen Sätzen samt einiger Kommafehler sagen möchte ist:
Dosenhersteller, investiert doch bitte noch mehr in sinnvolle Dinge, zum Beispiel Streetfiles.

We are from cities which are situated around Warsaw up to 50kilometres. Spray painting is very expensive sport and we're spending a lot of money to do this. My pension for work is about 1700 zl = 400 EURO and prize of spray cans in Poland are high. To me, Streetfiles is one of the most important sites in the web, because every day you get to see fotos of our favourite art and our passion from all around the world. Without Streetfiles there would be missing a very important platform for sharing photos of this contemporary art and the possibility to discuss about it. Many of the Pieces uploaded here are not existing anymore in reality, and if you don't have the opportunity to see them here, you won't see them anywhere.

As an example: i come from Dortmund, which was one of Graffiti's capitols in the 90's and on Streetfiles there are more than 7500 photos from my city, and many many photos from legends like chintz and all the others who began bombing back in the 80's. These pieces of art mostly don't exist anymore in reality, but here on streetfiles the memory lives on.
Especially to the younger cats who were too young or not even born back in the days, streetfiles is the only opportunity for them too see what graffiti became, and from what it evolved.

STREETFILES has to go on. It's absolutely necessary for this website to continue online.

From the perspective of a person who does stuff in the streets for a while, it's very important to have a place where you can show your work, and continue to stay true, not only to yourself or the others, but to the CULTURE, to this thing that unites you to all the rest of other persons who do the same kind of stuff, or have some kind of simillar ways of thinking.
   Another important thing is the quality of the work that is shown here. ALL the pictures are fuckin' great! no matter the kind of interaction or layout. It's important because of the veracity of what is here documented. Graffiti Culture can't be better described than by pictures or film, and although this site doesn't have the film feature, (and it doesn't need to..), the pictures here shown, document this culture almost allover the world, and they document it not by a scientific perspective, where  one should be an non-participative observer, but from an aproach of someone who does this kind of works, and is completely inside of it, (..or at least is inside of it to a certain point..) This means Streetfiles is important not only from a documental point of view, but also from a sociological, an anthopological, and mainly from a cultural point of view.

Hope that I could be some help by bringing this arguments up.

Since one of the first days of STREETFILES, i’m part of this community and i have to say that so far i didn’t find a social platform which means more fun to me than this one. even if i’m a „designer“ who has to work with the web a lot, Streetfiles is the only platform and graffitiforum on the net i’m taking part in.

Posting your flics and observing the frequency of users watching it and their feedback repeats the feeling you always have when you place a piece of art in public, realizing afterwards that someone else must have seen it and reacted on it. it’s great! putting a piece on Streetfiles somehow is like doing a bombing in the early morning and then watching secretly the people passing by and detecting it when the day starts!

another cool thing about Streetfiles is that i meet likeminded guys from everywhere whose work i always loved but who i never had the chance to meet or contact so far. and as i get many emails and feedback from other guys i guess i’m not the only one who feels like this.

and what raises the fun of visiting Streetfiles for me as well is that i can choose which kind of pieces and paintings i want to see. i don’t have to buy a magazine which contains 80-90% of works i’m not really interested in because they’re not my kind of style. but i get news from guys whose work really inspires me and i can detect the work of emerging guys who do crazy and surprising things i’ve not seen before. there’s space for the rough and edgy stuff that i like.

Streefiles is not based on another lame marketing bullshit idea. It’s made by activists for activists. I think Streefiles has the authenticity, simplicity and quality which others only can dream about. For this reason it deserves your support. It couldn’t be invested in a better way.

Since I discovered Streetfiles.org in the beginning of 2009 i visit it almost everyday. From time to time I saw some of my own work here, submitted by other members.
It's only a few days ago, that i read "what sort of camera do you have?" the last time under one of these photos.

I spend about 600€ in camera equipment for my d-SLR the last months (not to mention my small cameras). All though I know that it's not very much compared to what you can spend, it gave me some of the possibilities I dreamed of. I know you can't buy good photos, but some possibilities you can and I am going to buy some more as soon as I can.

I know that almost every artist around here is interested in photography in one or the other way. Without the photo there is no proof of your work or as a friend once told me "no photo - no action". We really need cameras - everyone of us. For some photography even is part of the result or the result itself. Do it the way you can get the photo you want. Some of us even don't paint at all and just take photos.

This community is growing really fast and has members worldwide. They also spread the word off line in the even bigger street art & graffiti scene. As you can see it is a scene with a huge need for cameras and also related equipment. In many cases the artist already has a camera, but would like to improve for better results. In other cases more or less regularly a camera gets lost or breaks up for the heavy stress - so there's need for a new one. Not to mention the newcomers.


I really appreciate a sponsorship because in my opinion it leads to a strong and even better streetfiles.org and hopefully to more good photography.

Maybe it can be helpful to mention some of the features that are important to me and I consider as good keywords for advertisements in relation to this kind of photography :

- wide angle - for the perspective and we often don't have the space to step back
- colors - we take photos of colors, so natural colors are really important!
- full manual control possible, including PAS M and RAW.
- fast reaction, AF and also serial speed
- working high ISO (means low noise AND details) and big aperture for low light
- strong flash - sometimes night shots with the build-in flash are the only option
- it should survive some not too careful handling

the procrastinator. within this special form i'd like to let you know that streetfiles.org is a main reason for me not to procrastinate.
after i get to know about this special website sharing community i started to think more about the diversity of graffiti. it is serious effort they make for a better comprehnsion of graffiti, maybe even for a new more social way of this phenomena.

most of the members are using high quality product for theire pieces, works and contracts and nevertheless their productions are documented by some of the streetfilesmembers in a very professional way!
even i thought of moving from analog photography to digital. after a long usage of my canon 300 i bought a canon 30d camera with a canon L lens 28-70 | 2.8

cause of watching some photos on streetfiles, shot with canon fisheyes, i started to save money for such a lens to try out some new sujets.

graff is an inspiring part o f my life and an expression for the youth... i know that there are thounsends of graffitihomepages out there, but non of these gave me the feeling streetfiles was able to give me.

it is the feeling of being understood even when i think vandalism is the worst part.


streetfiles is not a youthclub, it's a place for grown-up graffdaddys. if this isn't a potential group of buyers for graffsupplies and postproductionproducts i don't know why your advertising section haven't found it their self.

Ich brauche eigendlich nicht zu erwähnen warum Molotow diese Seite/Projekt unterstützen solte.
Ein Großteil der hier gezeigten Arbeiten entstehen mit Produkten aus dem Hause Molotow.
Molotow erreicht hier zu nahezu 100% exakt die Kundensparte die mit der bisherigen Molotow Werbung in diversen einschlägigen Druckerzeugnissen angesprochen werden solte. Nur das hier ALLE Nutzer (im Unterschied zu einem Hip Hop Magazin) an Graffiti interessiert sind. Ich und die Menschen aus meinem Umfeld nutzen Streetfiles täglich, oft auch mehrmals täglich um Fotos upzuloaden, Komentare zu schreiben, Arbeiten anderer aktiver zu sehen.
Diese Seite ist zu einem täglichen Begleiter geworden, nahezu die erste die im Browserfenster geöffnet wird wenn der Rechner an geht, und fast immer die letzte die noch mal gecheckt wird bevor er aus geht.
Dies ist ein wundervolles Projekt, professionell betreut und "wirklich" international...

Ich bin Streetfilessuchti weil: Ich ein sehr starkes Interesse an Graffiti habe,fast alle Leute aus meinem Umfeld Sprayer sind (Ich hingegen bin eher der Fotograf), keine andere Seite stets so aktuell ist, keine andere Seite so umfangreich ist, es für mich hier sehr einfach und unkompliziert ist nach bestimmten Sprayern oder Crews zu suchen, ich hier viele alte Fotos und lang verloren geglaubte Bilder wieder entdecken kann.
Interessen: Was gibt es neues an Musik auf dem Markt, wer hat ein neues Album raus gebracht, welche Events finden in meiner Stadt statt, ich liebe colle Kleidung sowohl für Erwachsene als auch für Kinder, welche Dosen sind auf dem Markt und welche Eigenschaften besitzen sie, Videos die sich mit HipHop und Graffiti beschäftigen, Zeitungsberichte was passiert in der Szene, wie komme ich günstig nach New York, Italien, Polen, Russland usw., welche neuen Marker für Skizzen und Taggen gibt es.
Ich könnte mit mehr Werbung leben um diese tolle Seite zu erhalten. Wobei ich natürlich im Gegenzug noch mehr Informationen erhalten würde.

Ich hoffe ich konnte einen Beitrag leisten und viele Leute sind der Aufforderung gefolgt.

Momentan ist "Streetfiles.org" die von mir am meisten besuchte Internetseite, die sich mit dem Thema Graffiti befasst. Sie stellt für mich einen wichtigen Grund dar, überhaupt noch aktiv zu malen, da heutzutage die meisten Bilder nach kürzester Zeit wieder "gebufft" werden und niemand sie überhaubt je zu Gesicht bekommt. STREETFILES stellt sie einem sehr breiten und stets interessierten Publikum zur Verfügung, was für den User zur Zeit sogar noch völlig gratis geschieht. Im Gegensatz zu, zum Kauf angebotenen, Videos und Mags. Würde es diese Seite nicht geben, würde ich definitiv weniger malen und somit auch weniger Graffiti-Produkte konsumieren... so siehts nunmal aus.
