The Name has been changed…
14th Oct 2007While thinking about the relaunch of graffitinet.com we also discussed the name.
- the “net.com” problem, or was it graffiticom.net ????
- nobody knows how to spell graffitty right
- we not only want to focus on graff, mainly everthing what happens in streets should be welcome
So we set up a long lists with names and discussed and discussed and discussed. As we couldn’t decide we asked our friends and collegues. They couldn’t decide either. The more people we asked the more opinions we got.
One of our favorites was graffr.net. Suddenly that domain was taken by someone in france who is doing an “international graffiti portal” there. So we are not the only ones with that idea at the moment…
We called up the guy in new york who owns the domain graffiti.com. His wife told us that they are not intrested in selling unless we pay a little more than all the others would do and that would about 250.000 U$.
Finally sitting in our favorite restaurant Lutz & Leo asked us: “Why don’t you take Streetfiles?”.
ich find den namen streetfiles auch viel geiler als graffr.net. mit dem haette man wieder eines der oben aufgezaehlten probleme.
ich hoffe man kriegt bald mal was zu sehen
Hey! these lutz & leo guys seem to be the great creative future of our beloved fatherland, maybe the whole universe. they should be payed substential amounts by patrons round the world just to do what they want to and to give birth to new groundbreaking approaches to urban art and streetculture.
