Streetfiles launched one month ago. We thank all visitors and all members for wasting time with us. Each day about 1000 visitors check out the newest photos of graff and urban art. The average visitor stays about 9 minutes (which is very long for a website). So each day 8 days get spended on Streetfiles, not only like the Beatles mentioned: 8 days a week.
We already have 500 members. About 4000 photos got uploaded in the first 30 days, most of them by members.
We got linked from quite a few pages (cpluv.com, fontanel.nl, ekosystem.org, page-online.de, juxtapoz.com …) and some websites already use our RSS stream (buffstuff.de, streetart.berlinpiraten.de).
Anyway, we hope to become a bit more international. We come from Berlin, we love Berlin and Berlin is a big city with a lot of urban art, but not as much as ten times more than everywhere else! We have 10.000 photos from Berlin, the next city is Barcelona with 1.000 photos. Come on!
And we hope to attract more great artists to post on Streetfiles. Our webstats tool tells us a lot, but not how old our visitors are. But we believe that there is a gap between the younger generation and the olders. A lot of great artists simply don’t publish on the internet. Come on!
Wenn ihr die Seite internationaler machen wollt müsst ihr mehr internationale Bilder auf die Startseite bringen.Vielleicht solltet ihr eine Rubrik “new” einrichten, da unter “new&popular” sehr viele Berliner vertreten sind, weil es eben so viele Berliner uff dieser Seite gibt und diese sich gegenseitig sehr viel anschauen, bookmarken und sich Kommentare schreiben.So hat ein Writer aus nem anderem Land bzw. Stadt gar nicht die gleichen Chancen sich auf den vorderen Seiten zu platzieren.

ich denke, dass es ganz natürlich ist und sich das ungleichgewicht mit der zeit verlagern wird. man sieht jetzt schon wie stark osteuropa ist. in einigen anderen ländern hat es sich einfach noch nicht so rumgesprochen, wir sind ja auch erst einem monat online …
